Diagnosis

All patients with suspected or diagnosed ATTR amyloidosis should be assessed by a specialist. In the UK, the referral centre is the NHS National Amyloidosis Centre at the Royal Free Hospital, London.

Treatment

Treatment of ATTR amyloidosis is typically focused on:

  1. Reducing the production of amyloid
  2. Supporting the function of organs containing amyloid.
